May 4th, 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Emily
Emily is another one of my clients I photograph every year. We started when she was one year old, and through the years we have photographed her with her sister, and family as well as individual portraits in the studio, outdoors, and in front of her school. This year we opted for a fashion photograph with the contrast of dark against light, always an eye catching combination. And as usual, the session was a blast and everyone has enjoyed the portraits.

April 30th, 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Jelani at 1
Another of my favorite times to photograph a child is at one year old. Jolene and I still have all three portraits of our girls at one hanging in our bedroom, and even though they are are grown, we still see them at this age every day. This time is also so fun to do because they are just who they are, we let the family get them dressed, and then we just let them go. My mother always said, "Wesley, just be who you are", and this has influenced my photography a lot in that I don't try to make people into someone who they aren't. It always seems to work out best that way, as you can tell by Miss Jelani here, sweet, alert, and just as cute as a button.

April 28th, 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Happy Anniversary Don & Bonnie
Lately it seems that we do photographs in groups, lately it has been senior portraits and 50th wedding anniversaries. And so it is with Don and Bonnie. They showed me a wedding portrait, Don with the coolest combed up and back hairstyle in the world and Bonnie, softly smilling, I imagine looking forward to the journey they would take together as a couple. A few years ago my age started showing up when I could remember the music of the year they were married in. (Rock on 1957!)

April 27th, 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Ruthie & Jon
Ruthie and Jon, thanks! I had a great time on the phone booking your design consultation, I enjoyed the cool conversation at the design time, the relaxing time walking around your property while we were doing the photographs was extra nice, (incidently, you have a really great home also), the viewing time was inspirational, and the fact that Jon drove 120 miles out of his way so Ruthie could have the portraits was just too much. I hope this was as good for the two of you as it was for me. Once again, thanks!

April 25th, 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------- The Weavers
Do you think that 50 years ago the Weavers would have been surprised if they could have looked into the future and seen what their family would be like on their golden wedding aniversary? Already our little family has grown to 8, who can imagine in another 15 years what the Gray clan will look like. But, I love what this family looks like now, with all the bright colors, coded for each smaller group, the oldest and the youngest next to each other, and just a real snug feel to each family, touching and over lapping. I look forward to seeing them again at their 60th!
